We left Nanaimo on the morning of May 5, 2010 and took a leisurely trip to Poets Cove on South Pender Island. It is still a slow time of the year and we did not have any trouble getting slip space at the marina. The facility is rated as 4 1/2 star. Included in the slip fee is the use of the use of the pool and hot tubs. There is a restaurant at the site and wine store. This would be an excellent place to take your family with children. They have a kids club and planned activities. This is our new favourite place.
